THE KINGS OF SLEAZE-A-BILLY ARE COMING BACK !

Formed in 2004 ,by BOB BUTFOY ( BOB & THE BEARCATS ) after a chance meeting with old drummer friend - PAUL SAUNDERS ( RUSTI STEEL & THE TIN TAX ) . In no time at all , the band were signed up by ALAN WILSON of THE WESTERN STAR RECORDING CO . Bob & Alan struck up a friendship & Alan soon released their debut album " SIN-U-ENDO ! " which included 11 Bob Butfoy originals . Following a support role to BIG SANDY & THE FLYRITE BOYS the band's profile was raised ...more top gigs were to follow both in the U.K & Europe . 2007 saw the release of the band's 2nd album " SLEAZE A BILLY ! " which again featured 11 Butfoy originals , just in time for the band's acclaimed appearance at VIVA LAS VEGAS ! Jack Rabbit Slim's momentum had now become even greater , with airplay on BBC RADIO 2 , mentioned in a DAILY TELEGRAPH article & music used in a ITV4 documentary . SLEAZE-A-BILLY sold so well it prompted Western Star to present the band with a award FOR OUTSTANDING SALES ! This year also saw JRS reach the heady heights of the JACK DANIELS CORP boardroom ! The band were contacted & politely asked to delete their , then popular , logo , due to it's similarity to the famed J.D brand ! JRS' 3rd album " FROM THE WAIST DOWN " elevated them even more than ever , winning them the coveted title " ALBUM OF THE YEAR " voted by readers of Viva le Punk .The mix of mainly Bob Butfoy compositions with a couple of selected covers/re-works did the trick , beating off stiff opposition from the likes of The Dammed & Goldblade . 2009 saw the guys back in the U.S doing a mini west coast tour , taking in Las Vegas , L.A & San Francisco . In the summer , sexy t.v chef , GIZZI ERSKINE mentioned JRS within the pages of award winning ladies glossy mag , MARIE CLAIRE . The band has seen a few members come & go , but has been settled in the last 2 years ( & 2 albums ) with DARREN LINCE on guitar & LANDON FILER on bass , their 4th album - HAIRDO"S & HEARTACHES will be released in early 2010 .
